A good beard shampoo cleans your beard gently without drying out the skin beneath – and without leaving your beard rough or brittle.
Handmade in Bavaria, our beard shampoos use mild, plant-based surfactants and selected essential oils. No silicones – just a gentle cleanse for beard, hair and body.
What makes beard shampoo different from regular shampoo
Beard hair is thicker, coarser and sits on more sensitive facial skin. Regular hair shampoo isn’t designed for this. It can strip too much moisture, leaving your beard dry and the skin underneath irritated.
Many conventional shampoos also contain silicones that make the beard feel smooth at first, but can dry it out over time.
Our beard shampoo is formulated to be milder, more efficient and balanced for the skin on your face. It cleans without stripping and leaves a light, conditioned feel.
If you struggle with itch or beard flakes, you’ll usually notice a difference after just a few washes.
Which beard shampoo is right for you?
We offer two beard shampoos – both 100% natural, handmade in Bavaria and suitable for beard, hair and body.
Eisenkraut is our classic. A fresh, slightly herbal scent with a light citrus note. It cleans thoroughly without leaving the skin feeling dry or tight – ideal for everyday use.
The Hops Shampoo is made with real hop extract from the traditional Hofbräuhaus Traunstein brewery. It’s a good choice if you want to give your scalp and beard a bit more attention and care.
Both shampoos come in 250 ml, as a 3-pack, and Eisenkraut is also available as a 750 ml refill.
If you want to build a full routine, the beard care starter set combines shampoo, beard oil and beard balm. If you prefer a more minimal or travel-friendly option, beard soap is a solid alternative in the same scent.
How to use beard shampoo
Wet your beard thoroughly with lukewarm water. Apply a small amount of shampoo, work it into the beard and skin, then rinse well.
Two to three washes per week are enough. On other days, water is sufficient. Washing with shampoo every day can strip too much of your natural oils.
For short beards, shampoo alone is enough. From around 2–3 cm, add a few drops of beard oil after washing. For longer beards, beard balm helps with control and smoother texture.
