Find your beard brush

Choose your beard brush based on beard length and needs – for shape, care and everyday comfort.

A beard brush adds structure, distributes oil and balm evenly down to the skin and helps tame unruly hair.

At Beyer’s Oil, you’ll find three brushes designed for short, medium and longer beards – all made from natural materials.

Which beard brush is right for you?

For short beards or stubble, a compact brush is enough. It fits easily into any wash bag and works well for everyday use or travel, helping distribute a few drops of beard oil evenly to the skin.

As your beard grows longer and starts moving in different directions, a larger brush makes more sense. It reaches deeper and brings even thicker beards into shape.

From around 5 cm beard length, a detangling brush becomes useful. Its longer bristles help loosen knots without pulling and prepare the beard before using a standard brush. It’s also a good choice if you regularly use balm or pomade.

What makes a good beard brush

Three things matter.

First, the bristles. Natural bristles, such as boar bristles, absorb oils better than synthetic ones and distribute them more evenly. Synthetic bristles tend to feel harsher on the skin and don’t spread care products as effectively.

Second, the handle. A well-shaped, untreated wooden handle feels better in the hand and lasts for years.

Third, the size. A brush that doesn’t match your beard length either stays on the surface or irritates the skin.

A good beard brush is something you’ll use for years.

Beard brush as part of your routine

A brush works best together with the right care. Apply a few drops of beard oil or a small amount of beard balm, then work it through your beard with the brush.

This helps distribute the product evenly, shape the beard and keep it looking clean and well-groomed throughout the day.

For longer beards, using a detangling brush or comb beforehand helps remove knots and ensures a more even result.

Made in Germany

All brushes are made in Germany and match the rest of the Beyer’s Oil beard care range. We focus on natural materials, simple design and long-lasting quality – no unnecessary extras.

If you’re just starting your routine, our beard care sets combine brush, oil and balm in one package – the easiest way to get started.

Yes, and it’s recommended. A brush helps distribute the beard oil evenly and creates a well-groomed, natural finish.
A brush is better for care and styling, as it distributes oil and smooths the beard. A comb is better for detangling, especially with longer beards.
Once or twice a day is enough. In the morning for styling, and optionally in the evening for care.
Yes, if used gently. Avoid applying too much pressure and always brush in the direction of hair growth.
It’s best to brush your beard dry or slightly damp. Wet hair is more sensitive and can be damaged more easily.
